Does your company allow phones in the workplace?  Let us know on social media!

Did you know that the UK leads Europe when it comes to smartphone usage, with almost 90% of consumers using a smartphone? Some employers have formal policies that govern when or where workers may use their mobile phones.

You can agree that a continuous use of mobile devices can cause

  • - Headaches
  • - Fatigue
  • - Loss of concentration, productivity and performance
  • - Annoyance by people around you

In the workplace, however, there could be greater risks associated with the inappropriate use of phones.

Mobile phones should not be used if:

  • - They interfere with vital equipment like hospitals and aircraft, or in potentially explosive environments, such as fuelling stations or blasting sites.
  • - Employees operate heavy or dangerous machinery
  • - Employees are around moving vehicles and objects
  • - Employees have constant interaction with clients and visitors
