NEBOSH General Certificate

Who Should Attend

This accredited NEBOSH General Certificate is for personnel e.g. managers, supervisors, non-safety specialists etc. with health and safety responsibilities and who need a grounding and recognised qualification in occupational safety and health.

 

Unit NG1: Management of Health and Safety

Question paper (one 20-mark question and ten 8-mark questions)

Element 1 Why we should manage workplace health and safety

Element 2 How health and safety management systems work and what they look like

Element 3 Managing risk – understanding people and processes

Element 4 Health and safety monitoring and measuring

 

Unit NG2: Risk assessment

Practical assessment (Elements 1.1, 1.2 and 3.4 are also assessed by the practical assessment from UNIT NG1)

Element 5 Physical and psychological health

Element 6 Musculoskeletal health

Element 7 Chemical and biological agents

Element 8 General workplace issues

Element 9 Work equipment

Element 10 Fire

Element 11 Electricity

 

Assessment

This accredited NEBOSH qualification is assessed by your question paper (2 hours) and a workplace-based practical inspection project.  The exam is conducted in our training centres at the end of your course, and the project is completed in your own workplace. The project should take no longer than 3 hours to complete and you have to return it to us by post.

 

Further Development

Conversion to other NEBOSH qualifications such as the NEBOSH Construction Certificate (NCC1 & NCC2). NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5. Membership of either IOSH or IIRSM.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate

COURSE DATES

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a widely recognised qualification for construction health and safety responsibilities. The construction health and safety certificate is extremely well recognised and sought after by employers in the construction industry in the United Kingdom. The qualification gives employers piece of mind that they have a competent person in place to manage workplace health and safety on a daily basis. The qualification is broken down in to the following three units:

  • Unit NGC1 - Management of Health and Safety
  • Unit NCC1 - Controlling Construction Workplace Hazards
  • Unit NCC2 - Practical Assessment

    

NEBOSH NGC1

COURSE DATES

The NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a widely recognised qualification for general health and safety responsibilities. The occupational health and safety certificate is extremely well recognised and sought after by employers in the United Kingdom. The qualification gives employers piece of mind that they have a competent person in place to manage workplace health and safety on a daily basis. The qualification is broken down in to the following three units:

  • Unit NGC1 - Management of Health and Safety
  • Unit GC2 - Controlling Workplace Hazards
  • Unit GC3 - Practical Assessment

This course is for anyone wishing to attend the NGC1 (first part required) for most NEBOSH certificate courses. Please bear in mind that you need to pass this qualification within 5 years to achieve a pass in most NEBOSH certificate courses.

NEBOSH GC2

The NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a widely recognised qualification for general health and safety responsibilities. The occupational health and safety certificate is extremely well recognised and sought after by employers in the United Kingdom. The qualification gives employers piece of mind that they have a competent person in place to manage workplace health and safety on a daily basis. The qualification is broken down in to the following three units:

NEBOSH NCC1 (Construction Certificate Conversion)

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a widely recognised qualification for construction health and safety responsibilities. The construction health and safety certificate is extremely well recognised and sought after by employers in the construction industry in the United Kingdom. The qualification gives employers piece of mind that they have a competent person in place to manage workplace health and safety on a daily basis. The qualification is broken down in to the following three units:

  • Unit NGC1 - Management of Health and Safety
  • Unit NCC1 - Controlling Construction Workplace Hazards
  • Unit NCC2 - Practical Assessment

This course is for anyone wishing to attend the NCC1 (second part required) to pass the NEBOSH Construction certificate course. This course can also be used in conjunction with a NGC1 qualification if you have held it within the last 5 years. A practical exam (NCC2) will also be required to complete this qualification.
