New CPR guidelines during COVID-19

New CPR guidelines during COVID-19
Posted 09th April 2020

It's important that we are all continuing to learn basic first aid to help a person in cardiac arrest.

This new guideline is in place to reduce concerns of transmission of COVID-19. Information on first aid training during this pandemic is being closely monitored and will be informed when new information is out.

【1】If you are with someone who is unconscious and not breathing normally. Call for help and DO NOT put your face near to theirs.

【2】Call for an ambulance and put your call on the loudspeaker.

【3】Use a towel or piece of clothing and lay it over the mouth and nose.

【4】DO NOT do mouth to mouth

【5】Start chest compression to the tempo of "Staying Alive"

【6】Use the closest Public Access Defibrillator if available.

What Our Customers Are Saying

  • I attended the SMSTS refresher course on the 30th January - 31st January 2020. The course was presented to a high standard and the tutor gave the group excellent support. I do think the Libben Health & Safety Training office in Birmingham is ideally located. Thanks for the help & support I received on this course. CITB SMSTS REFRESHER

  • I passed my CSCS course with Libben a few years ago and was happy with the trainer and course. I have continued using Libben for my First aid and SMSTS, the trainers were great and would recommend Libben to anyone and the price was cheaper than the other course providers. Libben staff were very helpful. Will be using them again soon. - CITB SMSTS
